Women in Technical Analysis (Thematic Sub-Committee)

About

The Women in Technical Analysis (WTA) committee is dedicated to empowering, supporting, and increasing the visibility of women in the field. This group fosters a strong professional network and provides targeted programs to help women advance their careers and leadership roles within CMT Association and the financial industry. Women have been leaders in our Association for decades. Bernadette Bartels Murphy became the first female officer (Treasurer) in 1975 and the first female President in 1977. Gail M. Dudack was also an early president for two terms. The WTA committee builds on this powerful legacy, ensuring our Association remains a place where women can thrive and lead.

Understanding Groups and Gigs

What is a Group?

A Group is an ongoing, strategic body of volunteers who collaborate on a defined mission over an extended period. Groups have formal governance, defined membership, and regular meeting cadences. Joining a group means becoming part of a team committed to driving long-term impact within CMT.

What is a Gig?

A Gig is a short-term, tactical assignment with a clear deliverable and timeline. Gigs are ideal for volunteers who want to contribute their expertise to a specific task without a long-term commitment. They are time-boxed and goal-oriented.
